Medellín Tango Nights
Medellín is home to flowers, birds, innovation and tango! Since the last century, there has been a strong connection with this quintessential Argentinian rhythm and dance. Carlos Gardel, perhaps the most famous tango singer of all time, considered Medellín his second home. Indeed, he was a shining star here, until he lost his life, sadly, in a tragic plane accident in June 1935. Gardel may be gone, but the passion for tango is still alive among us; lovingly danced in festivals, displayed in museums, and performed on traditional stages around the city. In homage to the dance and Gardel, Medellín stages a few places where dancers, singers, musicians and fans gather together to celebrate this unique music and dance art-form. Come with me to enjoy a memorable Night of Tango with professional artists who love what they do. Let's go!
